I was really challenged today by the distinction between "passion for (a) ministry" and "passion for God." As I have progressed in language learning so that it is no longer as big of an obstacle in doing ministry, there is a feeling of "return to competency" that has lessened my sense of dependency on God. This was a good reminder to make sure that my passion is directed to God and not merely the things that I say I'm doing in His Name.
I also enjoyed reading about George and his gifted story-telling. I readily identified with that since my best friend from college is quite the story-teller, too. I thought the closing question was quite poignant and is forcing me to consider how I'm telling my story -- in a mediocre way or with emotion, enthusiasm and excitement? How about you?
